Tait Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 it says on the fender big block precision that it has a double jazz bass humbucking pickup. how is this different to a musicman or normal humbucking pickup? also it has a "tone shaping mini toggle switch" for pickup selection. is that any different to a normal mini toggle switch? and how does that work? will it be front coil single coil, both and back coil single coil? john_the_bass Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 (edited) as far as i can tell having seen a couple in the shop, the double jazz bass humbucking pickup is two separate jazz bass pickups wired together to look like a humbucker (presumably to make a four conductor pickup). I wouldn't imagine that the switch is any different to a normal switch, it probably works as a coil tap.
