Looking at the pics of yours, gafbass, it looks like a two piece neck too, just back from the headstock, is that a slanted joint?

Mine also has a two-piece neck, with a similar joint slightly further up the neck towards the headstock. Mine seems to have a slightly more concave body, accommodating my liquid barley storage system...

Also have one of these beauties, although mine says 'Tanglewood' on the headstock. I'll get some proper pictures up later on of it....... Active pickups, and needs a new set of strings but it's a bass I'll never get rid of.

And different again with the lighter neck extension. Fantastic basses. Mines staying forever.

I'll get some proper pics up when I get home. It looks different to all the rest and needs a bit of TLC ( Wiring is a bit of a spaghetti junction, and fingerboard needs a good clean and new strings)

Great bass for fingering (snigger) and the neck is a good bit fatter than the rest of mine, but I have found if I'm popping on the G-String I tend to catch the neck extension. Does't bother me in the slightest though as it's a racking bass. I got mine for 120e about 5 years ago ;)

Is that a recessed bridge I see on yours? Nice :)

Well spotted!! Also, mine just says 'Tanglewood' on the headstock in white/grey writing.

Must have a look for SN when I give it a clean and stick new strings on it. Any idea where the SN is on these? Be nice to get some info from Tanglewood :)

No number on mine anywhere as far as I can tell. I'd love to know more. :)

I've emailed both Tanglewood ireland, and UK.

UK auto response ( Out of office until 20th I think? )

Nothing back from .ie yet! Be great to know more. Can't wait to get it all set up again after I clean it! Google turns up SFA on them :(

Just realised I used it to do this video.

Ignore the playing, its pretty shoddy, but gives a good look at the bass.
Bridge pickup, tone rolled back into my rig recorded on an iPhone

Yours looks so shiny compared to mine. Finish is completely different, as is the colour.

Still nothing back from Tanglewood Ireland, or Tanglewood UK!

Look what the kind people of Tanglewood sent me!

The bass was in production between 1991 and 1996.

I'm looking for a bit more info than the jpeg from the catalogue, hoping they could get a bit more in depth about the bass eg: Production runs, finishes, numbers produced etc.

Cheers all the same :)

It's why they're all different that fascinates me. :)

Exactly!! Headstock branding, neck extension, finish etc....

Bet they all sound great though!
