throwoff
I have just bought a Hartke Transporter 410 which has 4 alu coned 8ohm drivers. Ideally I want a 4ohm cab Can I rewire the inside to make it 4ohm, I am sure I can but not sure how. Can anyone point me in the right direction. throwoff
And as I ask google tells me no! I can get 32 or 2! Oh well!
xgsjx
Why do you want to make it a 4Ω cab? You most likely wont notice any difference in volume unless your amp is a 2Ω job. If so, sell your cab & get a 4Ω (or add another 8Ω cab)
dannybuoy
I think you can only get 2, 8, or 32 with 4x 8ohm drivers. Only way to change is to replace the speakers, so you may as well buy another cab!
flyfisher
You could probably do it by disconnecting two of the speakers . . .
subrob
2 in series, paralled with two others in parallel would get you to about 3.2 ohms. expect the two in parallel to need replacing first, tho. this is no better than 2 ohm, as far as your amps health is concerned, really, so to echo the previous, stick with what you've got theOP. if you need more umph, consider picking up a small light single 15 with an 8 ohm driver, pop it underneath.
