cameltoe Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Up for grabs, and before they venture onto ebay, are a pair of Peavey Impulse 500 active subwoofers. 500watts each, Black Widow drivers, and placed within a compact housing which is no larger than a normal speaker. Very Portable, as they are essentially speaker sized. Great punchy sound from these when they are driven hard, and we have just replaced the driver in one for a brand new black widow replacement. Built in high-pass filter so you don't need to run an external crossover, just run from the desk to the subs, then from the subs up to the tops. These can also be pole mounted for some reason. Perfect, apart from some of the little black rubber 'feet' are missing. I believe these retailed for around £400 each. Not seen a great deal of use, selling to fund a new desk, new mics etc. Gave our band a great deal of thump and bottom end that really helped on everything but the smallest gigs. £300- Collect from Cornwall or can post for around £30.
