for sale is one vox cougar semi acoustic bass serial number 53346. i have not been able to date this exactly but from the style of it it is an early model, which makes it 63/64. the bass plays great. nice action. neck is straight and the intonation is good. great 60's sound. it is a short scale bass. the finish has cracking in it. this is common as they use a thick lacquer on the vox basses. these cracks are in the lacquer NOT the body and do not affect the bass. it comes with the original case which is a little tatty but for those who like the complete vintage package could easily be restored. everything is working on this bass, the pick ups are good and beefy. this bass as far as i know is quite rare especially in this condition, it does not need any work and is in gigable condition. feel free to come and try it out, i'm in leeds 07803923460. i would prefer not to post this item for obvious reasons but if there is a serious buyer i will work out the cost of postage... £600

just bumping this up to let people see i've put a bit of a price drop on this bass.... tough tims an all that. it is a cracker of a bass and sounds beefy as hell

thanks man. hey is it a veri thin guitar or bass you got? i managed to get hold of a 1960 verithin guitar a year ago with the toaster pick ups. it's now sitting beside my 63 verithin bass. so many people have no time for them but i love them
