Thor Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I'm no expert on such things, this looks very nice but a tad iffy to me? Thoughts? I also thought the serial number on 70's was on the front of the headstock? Mine's a later '78 and that does? Quote
stoker Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Those are not J-bass p/ups and yet he says it's all original. Quote
Rick's Fine '52 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Decal is right, the S/N didnt appear on the headstock until late '76. Regarding the switched parts, he does say in the title "Orig pu's/bridge/guard will be returned". The only thing iffy is the price!, asking around double the real value. brensabre79 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Is the truss rod the right way around for a 70s bass? Mine is at the headstock end, although its a little later than 72. Not sure when they changed this... Quote
I assume yours is a bullet truss rod version, which would be right for a letr 70's model. This ones fine. If yours has a regular truss rod adjuster at the headstock, then it aint right.
