cLepto-bass
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this amp. I'm kind of interested in having a look at one but does anyone know what its like?
yorks5stringer
Do you mean the Head or the Cab? There have been a number of threads on here about some of the Heads emiting hi frequency noise:you could try doing a Search for it either here or on a well known US 'talkbass' site. Machines
The topic of 2x8 Cabinet implies it is the cabinet. I've seen them in a couple of shops but not dared to ask to plug into one... maybe I will soon, am curious as to how such a small cab will perform. cLepto-bass
Yeah, sorry for the confusion, it was about the cab only. Still interesed in anyone's views.
BassBod
Years ago, I had an Alligator combo - something like 400w into 2x8's (made by Volt). It was remarkably good, fairly deep sound for a realatively small box, something like a GK micro combo but nicer. The fatal flaw was that it was "semi-flight" cased, so very heavy for the output. I also had an early Ashdown 4x8 - again, very nice sound (with an eden WT300) but too heavy for the the sound you got out. Things may be improving - with newer lighter speakers ths could tip the balance?? BB
