Hi All,

Ive just been sat here in awe of this guy - great execution, great tone, great playing, great tune and it just gets better as you listen. This guy is mental, I only wish my playing came close to this as he tears a fantastic Ben Harper track up with his skills.

Re. the original video... An excellent copyist with great technique! Lovely sound as well from that JV Squier!

I'm surprised some of you haven't discovered Lydia yet. Her L42 tribute "Heathrow" is very good as well. Favourite Lydia vid? Lydia on bass 5. You'll see why straight away!

Stefano was the first YouTube poster I saw who made me sit up and listen- it was his Space Cowboy rendition that had all you describe.

If you like this kind of playing MarloweDK is another regular poster who isn't a chop-merchant but plays some really nice bass.
cant even talk and play let alone sing and play
I can sing and play but I can't talk and play, that's much harder! The hardest things to sing and play are not the impressive slap lines, 16th note fingerfunk or weird chordal things but the simpler countermelodic basslines with space and syncopations - reggae lines are particularly evil.

Ive been playing some more today after being inspired by these vids, just playing along to some Chic and Sister Sledge, and it would appear my playing requires quite a bit of work!

You know when you have those days when the brain is willing but the fingers arent? Thats me today.

I only hope that one day i can be a tenth as good as these guys are!
