3below
My telecaster was pale white, is now a nice banana custard yellow / brown. Only problem is 25 years time and plenty of sunlight UV may well work. Edited April 25, 2012 by 3below
bubinga5
I remember reading somewhere the plastics and paints used these days are fairly well UV resistant. I suppose you could book a tanning session just to see.
well if it didnt work on the bass it prob would me..
skankdelvar
Manchester guitar tech flogs a tinted gloss clearcoat nitrocellulose lacquer that you could spray over your poly finish. http://www.mancheste...t-tinted-gloss/ To see what 'aging' effect it has on different base colours, go this page http://www.mancheste...lulose-lacquer/ He explains: "where the lacquer colour shows a darker shade on the right hand side, it represents the colour of the lacquer when sprayed over with my Light Tint Gloss clearcoat." NB: There are two pages of colours. . Edited April 26, 2012 by skankdelvar

Dave Vader
Hang above sofa for 20 years, smoke on said sofa for same 20 years, gig in very smokey venues for most of those 20 years. Jobs a good-un Or use that stuff from the manchester guitar tech, it's quicker.
brensabre79
Yeah I'm not sure Poly ages at all! get some nitro and leave it in the sun for 10 years. or get the stuff above, spray it on and let it dry for 2 weeks (trust me on this!)
