gub
What settings do you go with ? I am playing with my jazz bzss atm but i am am so crap at knowing what sounds best ,and sometimes the sound doesn't seem to cut through the mix live , I normally go with mid halfway bass halfway treble half , and gain 3 . I know a lot depends on lots of different things , room size etc etc but just looking for some sort of yard stick really
RandomBass
hi One thing ive never had a problem with is cutting through the mix with my Terror Bass. The eq appears to be passive, and typically flat will be bass & treble fully off, mid fully on. I tend to use bass at 12 oclcock, mid about 11 oclcock and treble somewhere between fully off and 9 oclock ish. Those settings work very well with my Jazz. RandomBass
also, what cab are you using? I'm using a BF Compact. Cheers Geoff

Lozz196
When I had mine I put Bass & Treble on full, Mids at midway. This was a Precision into OTB into Marshall 412. Sounded good.
gub
Cheers lozz, not tried that yet , will have a play around before gig on sat .
rOB
Totally flat, played into an Orange SP210. Tend to add some lows from the bass tone controls rather than on the amp but that might be a limitation of the cab. All about the gain control IMO. rOB
To offer a different perspective, I use mine regularly with just a 2x10 and it works so well that I've just gotten rid of my additional cabinet. Don't mean to argue and YMMV

Happy Jack
I love my OTB to bits, but I'd never waste much time on the EQ - it has a very limited range, and is best just "set & forget" IME.
deej
I have all my EQ set to 9:00. It feels so wrong to look at at! I dont like the mids on the OTB so I cut them to give me a smoother, fatter sound. The bass booms out far too much for me so I have to cut that down too to stop it drowning everything out, and I always cut treble on my bass and amp. jay
I just set mine all flat and gain to taste. I would suggest and active preamp or an eq pedal to craft a decent sound!
