magee Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 Hello, I was wondering if anyone got a Fender Bassman head near Glasgow that they wouldn't mind me coming to have a quick go on? I've seen a couple of 50W and 100W ones for sale lately and am tempted by the idea of a small-ish all-valve head, but obviously it would be foolish to jump in without actually playing one and seeing if it suits me and seeing if it suits my cab (a Barefaced Compact). If anyone has one and wouldn't mind me coming to try it that would be massively appreciated. It's fantastic, but very heavy (obviously), and I've got a bit of back trouble these days, so I now have some serious thinking to do. Tredders - he did say there were two or threre people down south wanted to buy it but that it was still for sale and he was trying to sell it locally if at all possible to avoid having to pack it, I hope you don't feel that my considering it is treading on your toes. [/quote] Not at all. The way I've left it with the seller is that he's going to get a delivery cost for me. If he's happy to package it all up, and the courier cost isn't too extortionate, then I'll have it.
