applerocks Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I'm selling my Meas Boogie 400+ (it's too heavy for me these days) for £750 O.N.O It's been moderately gigged and as such has some cosmetic ware. It's recently been serviced by Peter at AudioFix in Brighton (the guys a genius) and he's given it the all ok (including valves). The only issue with the amp is that part that holds the fuse in is slightly loose, this doesn't actually effect the amps functioning. Peter has assured me a replacement part can easily be ordered from Mesa should it be required. The amp is in perfect working order, sounds absolutely amazing, and is ready to be gigged. It will come with a a Gator 6u rack. Let me know if there is any interest. I'm in Brighton if you want to come and see it. Zack Edited May 11, 2012 by applerocks

applerocks Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 No worries man, hopefully you're stuff will go soon - then it can be yours.
Beedster Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I might be wrong but I'm sure you identified another more serious problem with the amp in the original first post (now edited). If I'm right, has that now been fixed?
applerocks Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 That's correct, one of the feet from the metal holding down the transformer had snapped off. Since deciding to sell this has been fixed.

Guess their parts Dept is quicker than it used to be! Good luck with the sale. C
applerocks Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Mesa unfortunately were unable to supply the part, I still had the part that had broken off so it was welded back to the original. It's turned out to be a more cost effective way to doing the repair, and it's just as strong.
woodyratm Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 These are amazing heads. I used to have one and it was looooovely!
paulwillson Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 id love to have another one but unfortunatly that bodge job has put me right off! Im sure you know what you are doing its just i dont and i know if i bodged it i wouldn't do it right! bump for a lovely amp
KennysFord Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) If it's steel that has been welded I would think that it's fine, the weld will be stronger than the original metal. Not necessarily a bodge job at all. Edited May 14, 2012 by kennyrodg
paulwillson Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 ah thats alright! I did say that its just because i think i would be useless at doing anything!
Moonsbarn Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Hi, I've just joined bass chat and don't know if I'm doing the right thing here but do you still have your Mesa 400+ for sale? How do we exchange contact details etc? Thanks!
Moonsbarn Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Tried to send a message to you but it seems that this site is not iPad friendly. Hope we can communicate somehow if you still have the amp. Thanks again
