The rosewood neck with binding one is still gloss at this stage... I agree, the understated black hardware suits the bass better. Quote

Laurence's trio was playing in the evening and he so liked the bass he asked if he could borrow it for the show. Quite surprising really as my action is low, low, low and Laurence prefers his so that you can drive a bus under it. Just goes to show, if you are a master, you can play on any action! Quote
