Hi, I'm now a very proud owner of a 5 string rumour that was purchased on here :)
Spent the day cleaning and polishing and fresh strings to boot and the bass looks stunning :) Was wondering if there was a set guide anywhere or anyone could give some tips for action/pickup height etc on the basses.

Thanks

Samuel,

Pics please!

Re. action/pick-up set-up, that's a big topic but Bernie's basses are all adjustable. It'd down to preference really.

I think most Rumour players are on the slappy/technical side and speed-freaks so they tend to set their actions low.

Plenty of guides out on the 'net but Bernie's always there to set-up his basses if you need.

Just stopped by to see some of Bernie's latest work - and blown away by the look of his basses as usual, this one is a beauty! Very unusual to have that kind of figuring on such a light timber. Awesome stuff.

Been a while since I've done any updates. Here's a new Rumour 4... nice bass with laser backplates (I think they look really impressive on this example) and with 12th fret inlay.

My pair..
The new deeper blue/grey burst (Celeste) has a prism sparkle finish, blue side leds.Really hard to photograph the sparkle though.
The dapne blue GB (Daphne) front blue leds and now has single coils in her. Like no other jazz bass sound i've heard though!!
