I got this R*****faker recently from Beedster as I had fond memories of my old 4001 (sold in 2008, my first gigging bass in phase 2 of my musician career beginning 2005). Unfortunately hindsight is rose-coloured and I am struggling with the ergonomics, having played a Precision as my main bass almost exclusively for the past 4 years (and having broken my left hand in between times which makes it uncomfortable to deal with narrower-than-Precision string spacing). Basically the slab body and (at least relatively vs Precision) narrow neck width just don't feel right to me and so I am going to try to move this on.

It benefits from Rick electronics (including vintage tone control) and a toaster pickup and - courtesy of me - some brand new TI Jazz nickel rounds (>£35) which suit it perfectly (it doesn't work with heavy gauge strings). Only one minor issue is the scratchplate has a screwhole that is over the cavity so I have super-glued in a screw just to fill the hole and give a neater appearance.

Beedster put £750 into this project, I've added the TI strings and I would like to get the £600 I paid back for this. Has a Warwick Rockbag padded gigbag and I will post, albeit pickup/meet-up preferred in London (I live nr Hammersmith and work nr Liverpool St)

Beedster's ad below for reference. PM me for photos.
