DIY pedal board

Hey everyone,

I'm in dire need of a new pedal board and most the ones I can find on the internet are expensive and pretty flimsy looking. I was wondering if anybody's made their own and got any tips for me cuz I think it's the route I'm gonna end up taking!

Heres the sketch to one I made in the shed one wet afternoon, its cheap and easy and it works, dunno why anyone would pay the daft money for a retail one

Them boards look pretty cool. Any ideas on how to make them travel proof for in the van??

My guess would be the largest foam-filled flightcase from Maplin, should fit the board in, and it's got foam to protect it too. It's about £30 for a set of 3 IIRC.

I made mine out of mdf from work, and ebay velcro, and measured it to a silver box that I had lying about for a flightcase.
it is fine, 2 tiers and 8 pedals. Or is it 7?
