Clarky72 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 They've finally remembered that bass exists! A reverse jaguar with decent circuitry, yes please! Quote
TheGreek Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Surely there's something amiss in that photo..reverse Jag with twin Humbuckers?? That can't be a Fender - some imagination would be required for this and as we know Fender are about as imaginative as Porsche designers!! I like it though.. Quote

Doctor J Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Proving the draw-parts-from-a-bag-and-see-what-it-makes theory... new Fenders... a mish-mash of old Fenders... I do like the reverse Jag though That well is going to run dry some day, then they'll do Reverse Jag With Humbuckers Reissues, but we'll all know the first ones are the ones with mojo. Quote
neepheid Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Wow, that's even worse dusty end access than a Thunderbird. Never though I'd see that in a modern day bass, albeit a retro design. Wilfully perverse, not much thought gone in there. The result of a 5 minute "what if..." chat over a cup of coffee. Can't say I'm impressed. Quote
Clarky72 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 I have mild gas looking at it... oh no... Quote
LukeFRC Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I think they have been looking at the ricky-copy-but-with two-humbuckers adverts on basschat Quote
Hutton Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Musicmany, Upside downy, big bridgey kind of thingy. Nah. Quote

I think Low End Bee's comments about using up parts is probably spot on. Must try harder Fender... On a side note though, that semi-hollow geetar, second from the left is lush!.. Eude Quote
Doctor J Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Trying harder will be when they re-release it in a couple of years with a new colour, oooooooooooh, like goldflake mystical pixie blue, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Quote
charic Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I like it except for the reverse headstock I shouldn't though so I apologise Quote
Clarky72 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012
And a Jazz neck profile.
Arent the jags jazz neck anyway? Quote
eude Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012
Why do people go on about upper fret access. I can get to 1-12 un hindered. Thats me covered.
I guess it's each to their own. I like to go up a bit, or at least to have the option, especially when they're there. They may as well stop the fingerboard at the 15th fret and paint the rest the same as the body... Eude Quote
Clarky72 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Could be one the most marmite Fenders for a while by the look of this thread... Quote
charic Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 THE QUESTION Could this be the only fender that BRX would like? Find out next week on... Basschat (Cue music from "soap") Quote
TRBboy Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I think it looks ace, but surely it is gonna neck-dive like a bitch! Nice to see something a bit different from Fender for a change. Twin 'buckers, mmmmmmmm......... Quote
brensabre79 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I think I'd have to get a left handed version and move the controls around. oh wait... Quote
thisnameistaken Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Looks terrible. I'd rather have one of those Eastwood Mosrite re-makes. Quote
