could any of you throw a few venues at me that would book an original band looking to get out and about further than the midlands?

Big Sound/South Sea are really nice people but their gigs can be a bit hit and miss. We played last month but it was with two other non-Sheffield bands so there were only 20 people in the audience and nearly all of them had come specifically to see us. If you can get on a night with a local band who'll pull in a decent crowd it's worth doing, otherwise IMO not so much.

Now then, if you're feeling really adventurous.......

A friend of mine has moved out to Norfolk and he's getting heavily into building a 'scene' in that area, particularly Lowestoft. (The most easternly town in the British Isles I think....).
