Rayman Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Anyone else notice their E strings going dead pretty quickly with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys? I noticed it with one of my jazzes, the other 3 strings were still nice and zingy, but the E sounded dull and lifeless. I bought a set of TI flats for that particular jazz, and happy days, it's great. THEN I noticed it on the Precision too, dull sounding E string again. These are relatively new strings we're talking about here, no more than a month old on the Jazz. Anyone have anything similar? Quote
rogerstodge Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Yup.. I noticed it on my stingray so i boiled it up in a saucepan and the zing was back, dunno how long for tho Quote
MrTaff Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I get it with all makes of strings, E always goes dead way before the rest. Quote

Rayman Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Interesting. I've been playing many years, and never really noticed it before. Quote
