Super Slinky E string

Anyone else notice their E strings going dead pretty quickly with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys?

I noticed it with one of my jazzes, the other 3 strings were still nice and zingy, but the E sounded dull and lifeless. I bought a set of TI flats for that particular jazz, and happy days, it's great. THEN I noticed it on the Precision too, dull sounding E string again. These are relatively new strings we're talking about here, no more than a month old on the Jazz.

Anyone have anything similar?

Yup.. I noticed it on my stingray so i boiled it up in a saucepan and the zing was back, dunno how long for tho

I get it with all makes of strings, E always goes dead way before the rest.

So do I, my GHS pressure wounds' E string is like a rubber band
