BassYerbouti Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Our guitarist has a Roland Cube with some cool effects and is fine when we are rehearsing in a small room but when we get to a rehearsal studio and the rest of us want to crank it up, he just doesn’t have the power. Does anyone know a way of taking the signal out of the Cube and putting it into a larger amp that retains all the flanger/compression toys and that doesn’t blow anything up? Thanks for all your advice. Quote
j3ss3 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I do suppose the newer Cubes have a pre-out or an FX loop? (my 80's SuperCube has one) Connect the FX send or the pre-out, whatever it is called, to a poweramp+cab or another amp's FX return+cab. Check first if the FX return on the bigger amp is Pre or post-EQ, and tweak accordingly. That way, you'll just use the cube's preamp-section. YMMV, I'm not responsible if your guitarist goofs his gear up Quote
Dave Vader Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Stick a Mic in front of it and put it through the PA. Guitarist in my old band used to gig with his regularly like this. Quote
