ardi100
Hi, This is just to introduce myself. I'm an Aussie that's been living here since xmas 05. I play in the Capelilos, gigging in various venues in London. I've been playing since I was 14, I'm 35 now (gasp!). I play double bass too, well I did in Oz. My double bass is still there (it wouldn't fit in hand luggage) as is my American Jazz Deluxe. My gear is all at the budget end of the spectrum as I've never managed to glean an income from this caper! I'm playing a Squier Jazz (Korean) which still surprises me with its tone. That's played through a Warwick Profet 3.2 into an EBS Proline 200 15" which I bought of a BassWorlder last year. Oh, and a Zoom 506II, a Behringer BLE100 and a Behringer TU100 tuner. I've been nosing around the forums for a while and thought it polite that I introduce myself!! It's a fantastic resource and good clean fun, too. paul, the
Welcome to the forum, Adrian. I think people will get taller with evolution. Perhaps in a few centuries your DB will be considered hand-luggage.
ardi100
Thanks. If it's going to fit into hand luggage then it will be the equivalent of a ukelele! Just lower.
paul, the
That's quite true, except ukuleles will be relatively tiny compared to our giant like future forms. We will have evolved from being able to hear high-pitched instruments; with only primal women and obnoxious house-pets hearing those Hawaiian hip-shaking tones.
