chilievans Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I need to get a high g to play a few songs but I only have 21 frets not the 24 needed to reach the high note. Is it possible to tune up my g string so I can get the note I need ? Quote
icastle Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I suspect it'd snap How about playing a harmonic on the 5th fret? Quote

Mr. Foxen Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) Using harmonics to bump up notes: about 2.30 in. I picked up that octave technique really easily, l except I pull more faces doing it, with more gain. Edited May 4, 2012 by Mr. Foxen Quote
AttitudeCastle Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Play the harmonic as you normally would, where the 24th fret would be if it were there. WIll sound at the smae pitch and if your hand is up there will be easy Quote
