Machines Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 My Dad bought this a few months ago on a whim for £150 and after a few weeks he's realised it's of no use to him and also I wanted it a lot (and had been telling him so !). I had a 7 string Aria about 6 years ago that I regret selling so to get the chance to get this was superb. I like my nu-metal and Dream Theater so this will be perfect Peavey Predator Plus TR7 (from 2000):
Doctor J Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) Nice. It's hard to find a 7 string set with a heavy enough B, I found. When I had a 7 the biggest B string I could find in a set was a 52, which I usually use for E 7s are a lot of fun Edited May 5, 2012 by Doctor J
Machines Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 These are a standard set of Ernie Balls - they seem medium but OK for now ! Since it's an FR bridge swapping gauges would be a real pain.

EdwardHimself Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012
G? Would you not just take up bass? Oh, hang on
I do play the bass. And one of them is tuned to the next G down
Doctor J Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 There's a next G? In the last band we were tuned to B, dropped A sometimes, and I had a 72 and I still would rather have had something heavier
