FS - Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Relic

Recommended Posts

I'm selling this on behalf of a mate - any questions and stuff I'll refer to him unless I can easily answer them myself.

It's a Fender Custom Shop '1951 "Nocaster" Relic' in the classic nitrocellulose Butterscotch Blonde with a bakelite pickguard. As you can see, it's a heavy relic and very 'worn in' to play. All original

Serial number: R7408 - I'm going to text him to find out what year that makes it, unless one of you chaps can get there before me :)

All hardware etc is period correct as per usual Custom Shop Standards.

Comes with a classic Fender tweed case and a modern SKB case,
A Jen-You-Ine leather strap,
A Fender Whirlwind Accusonic lead,
Ashtray Bridge Cover,
Plastic selector switch knob,
Extra capacitor for original wiring,
Fender Custom Shop Plectrums (!)
and the Certificate of Authentication.

He's asking £1,700 but is very much open to offers. He's after a US Standard Tele (ideally in the same colour-combo as this one) if anyone fancies a trade with money his way.

For now it's pick-up only from Southampton - the thing comes with two cases, so posting could prove difficult. I'll talk to him about it.

And now for some porn:
