The bass is EQd to take out a lot of the bass and put in high (I think) mids so it sounds a bit nasal and there's plenty of fretbuzz. [/quote] on reflection, you're probably right. the filtering i was hearing was the condenser mic allowing more low frequencies through. Very short reverse delay setting with a low volume. I use an almost identical setting on a track we play. It's very subtle and is hardly hear until you stop playing and as it's pretty much a single repeat it sounds as though the note is being 'sucked' back.
