Pinball Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Ed's thought for the day Why do I keep imagining that I really need stuff and then find I don't use it, while other times I end up with stuff almost by accident and love it? Examples: Bassballs, wasn't looking for one but was offered one along with a guitar case. Found an immediate use for it recordiing. Harke VXL Bass Attack, bought it 2nd hand to try it and I now use it all the time. I seem to find the sounds I want really easily. Boss ODB3 distortion pedal. It sounds how I expected and I just don't use it. So what do I do yestarday? I just purchase a MXR Bass Blowtorch. It hasn't arrived and I'm already asking myself "why?" I don't use the distortion pedal I have. What I want and what I end up uising all seems too random to me, I think there is some sort of disconnect between my ears and my head or maybe its just good marketting? Quote
EskimoBassist Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 It's called GAS. There isn't really a cure for it and a lot of us here on BassChat have it... welcome to the club! Quote
Pob Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 The worst part is when you think it's done with, two or three weeks of contentment, that's it - I've got everything I need..... well, nearly.... ooh look at that... Then it starts again Quote
