New Overwater/Tanglewood model(s)?

So I just looked around my local music shop and they have a load of the overwater/tanglewood basses in.
I've tried the Classic J they have in before- and it was great sounding thing- really great- (would rate it up there with things that say Fender on them) but let down by the neck construction- I guess I've got used to rolled finger boards and this was very very sharp.

Anyway that was ages back. and had a look again today.

Well they had the classic J (actually a PJ) at £300 or so... and then another cheaper overwater bass.
I glanced at it and noticed that the neck looked a lot nicer made than the other tanglewood/overwaters they had, nice rosewood, and rolled edges.
and then I went home and just looked and can't see any reference of the model at all.
A solid coloured blue body (so no fancy tops) the neck was the Overwater 2 a side shape, then 2 jazz type pups. Jazz shape but slightly bigger (as overwater don't seem to use standard sizes) and then passive setup.
Like the aspiration series bass- but with two J pickups and passive electronics.... and cheaper

anyone got a clue?

they look alright, for that money theres a lot out there tho even new, bass collection, squire MJ ect

Drop an email to Overwater and ask about them. I'm sure Chris or Lawrence will be happy to fill you in on the details. I suspect they're too busy with getting the new models out to get their website updated with the info on them.

So, with the new Standard models and the Inspiration models Overwater now have a bass to suit most budgets. Well worth trying one if you're out looking for any bass IMO.
