Bought this a while back as an unfinished project.
This is an Ibanez Musician bass through neck, with ebony board.
A previous owner took pickups and electrics out, re-filled the pickup routing to take PJ pups and the pot holes to only take 3 pots.
The headstock was bizarrely reshaped to resemble a Wa@**ck and the machine heads replaced.
The body, neck and headstock was then refinished in a dark purple (not a bad job).

Anyway, this came to me with some active EMGs and an unknown and untested electrics. The battery cover, and electrics cover needed refitting, as did the pots and pickups.
The pup routing was pretty horrid, filled with chip board and foam.

I bought some new Di Marzio PJ pups, pots, jack socket and brass nut, handed the whole thing over to Tom Higgins a local luthier who brought the bass back to life.
It's passive, VVT, but has the battery compartment if someone wanted to install an active circuit.
I've chucked a fair few pounds at this to make into a very nice playable instrument and I'll make a considerable loss at £200
It's been gigged, so has plenty of scratches on the body, and there's a a small bit on the neck where the finish wasn't perfect. But otherwise it's structurally sound and solid.
The pups are very nice, the board is fast with lovely solid feel to the ebony, and neck is straight and true.
it's heavy mind, I have a USA jazz that feels much lighter.

String spacing is traditional P wide in feel to me. Great for double thumbing!

I'm in north Dorset and you're welcome to come and have a look and play of it.

Also happy to meet up somewhere not too far away.
