pantherairsoft
Any one know where to get Velcro sheeting from - the stuff many pedal boards come lined with (such as Diago boards)? Finding a few places in the US that have similar but not in the UK. Many people have said to use 'cab carpet covering' but having tired a bit today it wasn't great. Some seems perfect, others not. Buying it from the net means it could be useless so I'd prefer something designed to be the 'loop' (soft) side of Velcro. Shep
xgsjx
Have you tried Studio Spares? (sorry, couldn't resist that.) Cab carpet wouldn't do the job, it's not looped. Try car boot carpet, something fairly thin. Unless you fancy a shagpile pedal board? Edit to say, it sticks to felt! Or this... http://www.liberator.co.uk/veltex-velcro-display-fabric.html Edited May 7, 2012 by xgsjx
EskimoBassist
The Lyt stuff seems pretty good, but obviously you'd have to import it as you said. Hmm there must be something domestically available that would do it.

My rather dry sense of humour.

xgsjx
What about pool table felt? Take a bit of Velcro to the pub & see if it sticks.
phil.i.stein
might be worth sending an e-mither to this lot to check on strength... although black doesn't appear to be an option. http://www.cokerexpo...accessories.htm the tagline goes ... 'for the creative exhibitionist'... ..well, as they say, if the cap fits... Edited May 8, 2012 by phil.i.stein
pantherairsoft
Looks good Si, but minimum order is 5 metres (£50) - too much!
p58
well, I was worried with the same problem. I took some of my velcro, went to Baumax and than to Ikea. I tried to attach it to every carpet there and than something happened - 1 euro carpet for dogs solved my problem

If you can't get to Ikea take some of your velcro to a local carpet place?
dogload
After spending a small fortune on velcro on my last (huge) pedal board, my latest board used a cheapo carpet tile I found lying around at work. It holds velcro perfectly (even surviving the upside-down shakey test). definitely try B&Q or somewhere, but take a velcro-ed pedal to test it with! pantherairsoft
That's my plan for next week... There's a few bargain carpet outlets around so I'll give it a try!
