Murph_Orpheus
Has anyone had any experience using this bass? I'm thinking about picking one up but thought I'd ask a few opinions on it first
Sean
For what it's worth my ATK 400 is great. 1990s mahog body, ash top, maple nck - there's a review of it in the reviews section.
budget bassist
I've not used one but i've seen a couple used and that triple rail pickup sounds REALLY chunky.
Murph_Orpheus
Yeah I saw a band a couple of nights ago and the bass player had an ATK with the triple rail and I couldnt get over how clear sounding it was cos he had it turned up big time! simon1964
I bought one a couple of months ago as I was looking for a cheapish 5 string. Very impressed - nice stingray vibe, but at a fraction of the cost.
Murph_Orpheus
I already have a 5 string Warwick $$, but I've been wanting a new bass lately just for a bit of variation. I'm just wondering would this be worth it
JoeS
I have the 4-string version and it's absolutely brilliant. So easy to play, sounds fantastic and is a lot more versatile than you might think. Highly recommended.

Bigwan
I'm looking at the 4 string at the minute (along with a few other things). They do look the business. The only thing that'd put me off the 5 string is the string spacing on the current model - it's VERY tight. Some of the earlier models had much wider spacing on the 5 strings. Play one and see what you think yourself.

I think of my $$ as essentially a Jazz on steroids, but it doesn't really do stingray sounds (its about all it doesn't do!). I think the ATK would complement the Warwick nicely. Someone has mentioned string spacing - it is around 17.5 mm from memory, so it is pretty tight, but I suspect no tighter than your $$ fiver
