Silvia Bluejay
Welcome AJ! Switching from guitar to The Mother Of All Stringed Instruments is a good move Good gear too. Next, you'll find you want a 5-stringer of some sort

BassTractor
Hi Aj, Welcome to BC! Switching to bass was a great move indeed. Me, I switched from keyboards after 45 years, and only wonder why ever I didn't switch earlier. Enjoy the ride! bert

EdwardHimself
Sounds good. Try not to give up on the guitar though, there is no reason you can't play both! I think it is normal to get sick of the guitar and want to play bass or whatever, I do that all the time. If you want a 5 string, I would reccomend looking at a Peavey BXP bass such as a cirrus or grind. Great basses, great value.
