geoffbassist Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Im pretty sure it was. What an incredible band! Beautiful song, loved the feel. ...& a kolstein, what more could you want! Quote
yorks5stringer Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Was he the bassist with Melody Gardot? I think he was with her last year at the Lowry when I saw her, she also had the german guy on cello back then too. When he ( cello) played with the full band he was doing pizzicato stuff but he did a few things with just her and he was quite innovative ( to me..) Just had a look on her website, the new album is not out till later this month. If it was Charnett Moffett at the Lowry he had some chops.... Quote
Clarky Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Finally watched Jools last night. Boy is he a busy player - not much "economy of motion" going on there! Still infinitely better than me mind! As Keith mentioned, good to see a Kolstein in action Oh and the guy needs more double consonants in his name. Three seems mean Quote
Mr Bassman Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012
he's nearly as good as you Keith.
Quote

fatgoogle Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Watched the video above and a few others and cant say i was blown away. He's far better then me but there seemed to be a lack of definition compared to other players ive been listening to at the moment. His electric bass playing didn't grab me either. Granted ive only just heard of him and am basing this off a few youtube videos. Anything to recommend to listen to. Quote
