Clarky
Hi, I imported a Cafe Walter HA1 headphone practice amp from the US last year (they are handmade in the US and only available from Bass NorthWest). Cost me about £150 including taxes. Its now sat in my bedroom doing nothing as I recently bought a Tascam MP3 bass trainer (great for learning tracks). The Cafe Walter is basic as hell (just two volume controls, one for an external input eg iPod, and an LED!), built like a tank and allegedly the best headphone practice amp available in terms of fidelity of bass sound, according to lots of reviews. Runs off two batteries (also has US power adaptor). Anyone interested at half what I paid (£75) plus postage? Rave review from Harmony Central (10/10: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...A-1+Preamp/25/1 Website with photo: http://www.bassnw.com/New%20Hot%20Items/cafe_walter_HA1.htm http://www.cafewalter.com/ha1/index.htm Edited April 30, 2008 by Clarky
BassBod
Quick endorsement - I got one of these a couple of years ago, and it great. Totally honest (think good DI) sound so you hear what you really sound like, good for "play along" with recordings and also a great hi-fi headphone amp. One of my best toys!
