Recommendations for DI Box

Yo Guys, As I'm still learning bits and pieces, one piece of equipment I want to get a hold of is a decent DI box. I'm no master to the DI boxes so I thought I'd ask you guys to see what you'd recommend.

I use a B.C Rich Warbeast Trace 4 String Bass and a GT10B Multi-FX pedal so I was wondering from there what would be a good DI Box that would work. I previously searched on giggear.co.uk for one which they only had 2 different DI Boxs for bass guitar. So yeah... Anyone out there who's got a pretty good idea what kind of DI Box I'd wanna get a hold of and prices?

Thanks!

Weirdly enough isint the behringer one alright for what it does?

Unless you want to spend a fair wad on a Avalon U5.

Some questions to help you get a better recommendation:

- How much are you willing to spend?
- Do you want a straight DI or a preamp/DI with some EQ?
- Is your bass active or passive?
- Does your Boss GT-10B have an XLR out that you can just use instead?

Also, if you're searching for DI boxes for bass, that's why you only found two. Generic DI boxes are suitable for bass and there are tons of them!

Basically if you're ever going to be plugging a passive bass straight in, you want an active DI. Otherwise get a passive one - Radial make good passive DIs, the JDI at the top end and the ProDI is almost as good and much more affordable.

This interests me as well, why is that? My main bass is active but my spare bass is passive, so what should I get that will also handle the passive bass well when needed?

Really need to know the answer before I can recommend any but Dave Hall Amps is usually a good place to start looking.
