chrismuzz Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Haha wicked! Took me about 8 years before I realised this stuff, it's funny because it's true! Quote
Wolverinebass Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I'm crying with laughter at this. It's kind of true, but I've never felt the need to jump about onstage. I'm mainly afraid if I did so I might have someone's eye out with the buzzard's headstock.... Quote
gary mac Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Nice one Captain Bass, thanks for posting. Not as good as "This drummer is at the wrong gig", anyone seen that one? Quote
ratking Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Brilliant Though I never understood how anyone can spend the whole gig standing on one spot - I couldn't play bass without moving, and if our singer SHOULD happen to want the position center/front of stage back for some singing, posing or whatever it is that these guys do, he would probably tell me Quote
xgsjx Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 & here's me trying to introduce barstools to the band! Quote

I never understood how anyone can spend the whole gig standing on one spot ...[/quote] We obviously play different pubs. At the two pubs I have played most often in the last three years: #1 Back resting against my cab, wall brushing my left shoulder (try not to bang head on the wall-lamp), hi-hat brushing my right shoulder, mic-stand directly in front of me. #2 Back resting against my cab, left hip jammed against pub piano (No Drinks Allowed!), hi-hat brushing my right shoulder, mic-stand directly in front of me. I suppose I could do a static pogo ... Quote
