Harley Benton BDI-2000 preamp

BDI-21? Also cheap and useful, but the appeal of the HB is the 3 band EQ.

It's got a bit more going on than the Behringer and looks like a sturdier case. I had a Behringer and sold it on as I didn't like the mid-scooped sound and lack of mid control, so this looks like a useful thing. If anyone is planning on buying one, please review it on here!

i wonder why joyo haven't...they cloned the other tech 21 'character' pedals, but not the bass one.

So the "colour" control looks like a rip-off of the Markbass VLE idea, going by that spec sheet. That could be handy for taming the high end from overdrive and fuzz pedals that often sound awful with a DI.

If the EQ voicing and general build quality of this is anything like their head I gigged for 3 nights in Geneva the other day, I would say your money is best spent elsewhere. Can't say I'm a big fan of Harley Benton stuff.

Why would I need one of these? Do you use one in case of having no amp? Feed the output of this into the desk/PA and hope that whoever is operating said equipment can give you something back in the monitors?
