Doctor J Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) I've been after one of these since they first released this model - the So-Cal - and finally saw one at the right price, did a bit of financial juggling and here it is. The neck on these are the real selling point, oil finished quartersawn maple, very nicely rolled and within a couple of minutes it feels like a neck you've known all your life. This is what Fender should be putting on the strat. Of course, being Fender, they have to do something stupid and, in this case, the truss rod adjuster is the type you have to remove the neck in order to adjust. Still, it sounds superb, plays oh so nicely, I'm quite chuffed. Edited May 19, 2012 by Doctor J
EdwardHimself Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Gr8 looking guitar. White on black with a maple fretboard is definitely a nice look.
Doctor J Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Thankee. It's a very comfortable piece of kit, the neck is great, it really is.
