Parker85
Hey guys, 6 years ago I took my P lyte to a shop to get it customised and had EMG pick ups put into it. Recently I've noticed that my treble had stopped working after a month or so of crackling. So decided to take everything apart and see if I can fix it myself... anyway there's two wires come completely loose from the pot so I'll solder them in asap. When removing the pick ups I noticed that one of the connectors differed from the rest and it doesn't fit snuggly onto the pins like the rest.. Does the connector have to fit completely snug or would this be okay? Uploaded a picture so you can see. Thanks for any advice. Ou7shined
It should be ok... but to be extra sure you could put a tiny tiny little kink into the 3 pins - that way you know for sure they are making contact on the inside of the quick connect socket. Parker85
Oh so aslong as any of the pins are touching the connector it should be fine? Could I put the kink anywhere along the pins? Thanks a lot, wasn't expecting such a quick reply!
Ou7shined
Yeah As long as the pins enter the connector. You can kink them anywhere.. if it gives you a bit more resistance when pushing it in it's doing it's job.
Parker85
Thanks man, got it all set back and it's sounding better (I think) hopefully the solder holds out
