gjones Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Realised that after about a year of chopping and changing pickups and necks that I had enough bits and pieces left to make a WHOLE NEW JAZZ BASS!!!! This is it. It's parts comprise of; pickups and controls from a 1994 Japanese Squier (really nice deep vintage sound). a neck from a Fender Classic 60's Jazz with vintage tuners (they use this one for the roadworns too) a body and bridge from a VM Squire (really nice grain) And a vintage type scratchplate from ebay The combination of those ingredients really works and It sounds great and looks lovely. gjones Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 (edited)
Reverse tuners?
Yup nice big vintage ones. Edited June 5, 2012 by gjones Quote
bigsmokebass Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Haha niiiiice, I got these on my 51. They're so nice and seem right when using a electric tuner as to 'normal' machine heads and turning them the other way (you'll know what I mean). Congrats with your bass mate, sounds lovely. I may have to try your ingredients but for fretless recipe Quote
