police squad
Here's a couple of shots of my bitsa telecaster that I put together about 6 years ago. As you may know, I'm in a Police Tribute band, so I decided to get my Tele, 'Andy Summers', by the chaps at the painted player, www.thepaintedplayer.co.uk They added the brass bridge (including the crack), mounted the pickup direct to the wood, phase reversal switch and on board pre amp. anyway enjoy,
stoker
Nice looking Tele, very Police!
Dood
Lovely job!! Here's a link to my 'John Deacon Fender P-Bass' tribute porn/build thread. Started life as a favoured Japanese non-export Fender reissue P bass and has been updated to match John's refinished instrument he used for pretty much all of his career. I adore this bass! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/87360-deacon-ification-fender-cij-non-export-70s-pbass/page__p__831763__hl__john%20deacon__fromsearch__1#entry831763
Cat Burrito
Great looking tele - I would like to continue the telecasting theme with my Waylon Jennings tele that was handmade for me in the USA. Assembled in Berkshire but the body started out in the East coast, the leather was tooled in New York State before finally being put together in, um, Berkshire!? I opted for brown and personalised it a bit so it's not a straight copy of Waylon's guitar
Truckstop
Lovely! I think brass bridges are amazing. They look sophisticated, they sound great and add a little bit of weight which I find comforting. Truckstop

ezbass
There is something about a Telecaster that gives me GAS, that AS one is also my favourite type of Tele, the sunburst, bound custom. Sooo right, quick nurse, the screens!
Big_Stu
Good Tele thread! Noddy Holder c.1972, black tele, maple neck, with John Birch Superflux pickup at the neck & custom control plate by John Birch to enable a Gibson style switch for a lot more chrome for the glam image. Six saddle ashtray bridge. I've also got an SG Junior with John Birch bridge and Magnum pickup (c. Noddy Holder c1978-83) but why spoil a good Tele thread?
Not sure it was meant to be a Tele thread - show 'em all off. I love a Tele though . i'm amazed at how much effort goes into getting all the detailing accurate. I like the John Deacon P bass. I remember seeing a Andy Summers Tele( custom shop?) in a shop in Glasgow " reduced" to something like £8000- Bargain!!?- But it was all beat up and everything

Jazzneck
CLAPTON FOOL SG My 60th birthday present in mid 2009 (lucky man!) Tokai Japan SG, painted and supplied by The Painted Player to my specs as per first Clapton version.

Jazzneck
That SG is great, it appears thge painted player chaps are quite talented
Very talented and very helpful, too. Nothing was a problem - they sourced and fitted the vibrola, sanded the back of the neck a la Clapton but would'nt paint the pick-up surrounds just in case the paint was not compatible with the plastic (a wise move IMO). This guitar plays and sounds as well as it looks, too. Now looking for the correct Ace strap to finish off the job. Any ideas anyone?
