Click that and select 'copy link to clipboard' and paste that into Basschat Edited October 10, 2012 by Roland Rock

Pete1967
New pants please.... That's amazing.... I'm a sucker for a pearloid plate and it must be the most versatile bass ever made. What's the verdict????

It's built like a tank and weighs almost as much ! Swamp Ash - bloody 'ell ! Whilst it is heavy , for me that's ok as it balances perfectly . The pick-ups give me all the sounds that I wanted . The 51 at the neck gives a kind of Humbucker sound but without too much boom . Vintage P , for that Vintage P sound ! And the J for any zing that I may require ! Thump , Honk , Clank , Boom ( a little ) it's all there .. After some experimenting and dialling I'm tending to favour the 2 P pick-ups for some serious Thunder ! It's a beautiful looking Bass , very classy . My pics really don't do it justice . Jon Shukers workmanship should really be seen " in the flesh " as it were , to be truly appreciated . Dood
Looks amazing! No, no, I'm not biased, I just know Jon makes incredible basses and here's yet another example of his eye for detail and flawless workmanship. The guy is one of he best builders on the planet! mikebass456
I just love his basses! I got a 5 string through neck elite from him first in early 2001, then went for a 6 string Jazz and a 4 string Jazz over the next few years after that! They're just unbelievable, and anyone who's not sure about taking the plunge, just needs to look at the gallery on his website - sheer genius and 100% porn combined!!!!! Kiwi
At one point I would have been prepared to compare him to Fodera. But now I've been taught by him, I believe that would be insulting. He is completely dedicated to his craft and uncompromising...nothing leaves his shop unless its perfect. I've just spent the last 2 hours bouncing around on the headless 6 he made me in 2009 and there are hidden depths to the instrument that I've only discovered. In part this is probably because the instrument has mellowed a bit since I took ownership. One minute the bass sounds like a Status, then with a tweak It sounds like a Fodera and with another tweak of the mids and treble, it sounds like a Smith. I'm learning from it.
