Mark_ii
I have an Ibanez ATK 300 in brand new condition, it's genuinely only 3 months old and never gigged. I can confirm the adverts regarding this bass model, it actually does sound and play exactly like a Musicman Stingray. I own both and I've never heard anything come as close as this to the Stingray sound. I'd trade for a 4 string Sadowsky + cash to you (generous amount of cash to be fair). This is a beautiful guitar to play and is out on it's own for slap, absolutely incredible sound, could be mistaken for brand new, 10 to 15 hours playing only, just have a thing for a Sadowsky Metro UV70 and this is practically the same as my Stingray. No point in owning both when they're so similar so I'm letting her go. Sale Price = £450 The Ibanez ATK300 4-String Bass Guitar, Natural. Super versatile bass due to clever design and electronics, from vicious, rocking metal to slap-happy funk. The Ibanez ATK300 bass guitar is one of the most versatile basses ever created, with a big, traditional neck and body, but that's where tradition ends and innovation begins. The ATK's triple coil pickup and remarkable Tone Character switch enables a player to make radical tone shifts with just a simple turn of a knob. The ATK300-NT has a light ash body, round comfortable three-piece ATK4 maple neck, a maple fingerboard with black dot inlays and 22 jumbo frets. With the ingenious ATK bridge, you have the option to string through-the-body for increased low end and more sustain, or through-the-bridge for slightly more high end and attack. The Ibanez ATK 300 also features ATK's innovative triple coil pickup and active 3-band EQ, allowing you to dial in anything ranging from earthquake lows to skull-splitting highs. The ATK300 delivers all the quality you expect from Ibanez at the right price. They're the closest you can get to the 'ray tone bar none, but then it's not too surprising. Made by the same company and have a similar design to the Stingray, so fair point there ........... however you got to hear what Ibanez have done with the ATK 300, it really is punching a long way above it's weight. The ATK 300 could take on bases at 2 and 3 times the price. If you see one in any of the stores give it a try, you'll be more than surprised. It's very Stingrayish. Thanks for your comments. Truckstop
If I had the cash I'd buy an ATK purely on its own merits. Great sounding basses with a great build quality! The dude that nabs this will be very very happy indeed! Truckstop

[/quote] Alas I'm afraid not (great deal if it was) ....... I'll get some better pics up today. This picture is a little washed out and doesn't show off the bass to it's full potential Edited May 27, 2012 by Mark_ii
LukeFRC
most my encounters with mark bass has been little 8 or 10 inch speakers in mini cabs. I get very confused looking at that photo!
