throwoff Posted May 28, 2012 Share Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) At Musikmesse a couple of years ago I got sent off to find a wide padded leather strap for one of our artists, this was the day before the show opened so I wandered around the guitar halls and found a tiny booth wedged inbetween a boutique pickup winder and a company who made brass saddles with a small selection of frankly beautiful hand tooled leather straps. I introduced myself told them who I worked for and who wanted the strap (it was a well known name) they agreed imediately and said it would be great to get some time to get some feedback from the artist etc etc, which I said I would try to arrange. I took a brown and black plain one (they had some embossed ones but felt the plain was safer) and headed back to our booth, on the way I noticed the price tag on the strap end. 599 Euro. I cant remember the name of the firm but safe to say I have never seen them since at Namm, Messe or anywhere else for that matter!
