It has been set for a moderate to firm playing style, but easily adjusted, of course. Personally I like mine very low too, but there's not a single buzz or rattle to be heard at the moment. I don't think i've seen any clips of a Parker 5 of this model in isolation. Mebbe I should find time to record a quick demo! It's just a great sounding bass. Those ultra jazz pups are great! I've liked Dimarzio pickups for ages too. Mixing with the piezo is a really nice touch as well as running he piezo alone for acoustic sounds. A really flexible instrument.
