waynepunkdude
"Just a thought, there is nothing wrong with this bass as it is, you could be gigging with it now....but if I didn't already have a Music Man 'stingray' and a couple of Fender 'jazz' basses...all with Status Graphite necks; I would change the pickups for a couple of Seymour Duncan 'quarter pounders', fit Status Graphite neck....and together with that nice chunk of old mahogany you would have the sound of a thousand quid bass guitar for half the price.....just a thought. Good luck."
Ou7shined
It seems to be made of nice bits and bobs. If it's put together well the I'd say it a real bargain. Not sure what he means by G&L control lay out as the L-1500 was a single humbucker... and not many people liked the sound of it's electrics. Maybe he's effectively split the 'bucker in a jazz pup layout (these look like DiMarzios) and used the same 'tronics - if that's the case he may well have improved upon the nasty inherent nasal quality of the L-1500.
