I just popped on here to sell my unused Ricky, so I thought I better introduce myself to the masses.

I've been playing bass in various bands for the past 25 years, I started out playing original material but when the success, fame, and fortune didn't arrive I sort of
drifted away from playing for about 5 years.

I got a call from an ex-band member who was playing in a covers band to stand-in for a couple of gigs, and this relit my interest.

So after about 5 years of ocasional 'stand-in' gigs I know play full-time with the band, we are out most weekends, mainly pubs and clubs with the odd wedding/party thrown-in for good measure.

My Bass rig is pretty simple 'Old-school' stuff:

For most 'pub' gigs I play a Bass Collection SB300 (Original Japanese early 90's model) I also own a second Ricky, but that doesn't get out much.

Amplification is an old Laney DP150 head through a Behringer Ultrabass BA410 4x10 cabinet, with a Zoom Bass effects processor.

Me and other noobs will hang on your lips should you decide to share some wisdom.

Anyway, enjoy!
