Davetbass Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Another victim of my house move cull. Ibanez Musician traded fairly recently with Gray. Neck through and great condition for its age. It's had a full set up and fret dress. Restrung with new Ernieball 100-45 medium gauge strings. The finish has aged to a nice gold colour and all the hardware functions perfectly. Pups and eq are working and sound amazing. Only bad ding is on the top contour of the body and is visible in one of the photo's. There's one on ebay for over a grand but I'm not greedy. Priced to sell Thanks for looking. Dave £400 + postage or cash on collection or trade for a 6 string (not bass) of equal quality. LukeFRC Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 i've seen pics of this. cracking looking bass and great price there!
chrismuzz Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Quite possibly the best sounding bass you will ever get for £400! I played a ltd edition one with two gigantic single coil pickups. Makes a Stingray sound like a child's toy
HADGE Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Dave you must be mad selling at that price i have a left handed version of the musician and i love it .Yesterday i played my fender p usa model my musicman and 2 of my warwicks and to be honest when i played my musician i thought what a great bass my musician was .Who ever buys that is getting the bargain of a life time if it was left handed i would buy it no probs .Good luck with the sale and i am sure it wont be on hear for long .
chrismuzz Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Slightly OT...Did they ever make a passive-only version?I know they had ones with an active/passive switch but...I refuse to own any active basses because i'm a little odd like that
Chimike Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Yes, I have a '79 single pickup musician ( passive ), not for sale, though!
Gray Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 My old bass - its a brill example of a Musician. I would buy it back if I didn't already own 3 of them.... Dave is a top bloke to deal with.
Davetbass Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 May trade this for a six string (not bass) of equal quality.
Davetbass Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Gaunnaegiesabanjo? 6 string trade offers welcome bump.
IainRoberts Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 How is this still here?! I have the Ltd Edition one and it's my most played bass, everything about it is just right If I could justify a second I would snap this up especially as it's just down the road from me. Is it now on ebay?! Good luck with the sale!
LukeFRC Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 it's one of those basses that if had space and money I would!
Davetbass Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 I'm guessing around 10 lbs. it's not lightweight but not the heaviest I've played. This bass ends today on eBay. Had one offer from Germany. Could let it go for £400 inc postage for bc ers.
