Great group. I got their first album on a whim and it's fantastic, intrigued as I was by the hang drum player. They're an interesting group as the band is as much about the sound palette as it is the songs. Playing a hang drum in such a setting is obviously a challenge, as they (hang drums) have limited range in of themselves. So I think the compositions reflect this to some degree.

To say though they have no groove or drive is utter drivel IMHO ;). Sure, the sound is quite soft in places, and a lot of compositions are slow and more ballad-like, but I can think of several compositions that drive along very nicely off several of their albums.

This is as good a jazz group as any other, just a bit different sound pallet ;)

Yep , I also find the sax player particularly awful/uninteresting.
