ChrisF Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012
I've not used either of the two pickups
So just out of curiosity, what do you use ?? Quote
invicta59 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 K & K Rockabilly Plus. It's a wing and neck pickup attached to a stereo jack. A stereo cable runs to a small pre-amp from which you can send the blended pickup signal to a single amp or split the signal to two amps/pa channels I've had no trouble at all with mine, but they are a bit fiddly to set up as some adjustments can only be done internally. I've also heard several people commentins about poor battery life on the pre-amp, but mine usually last 6 months, so I'm happy. I've had mine for a good few years and quite a number of new p/ups are available now. If I need a replacement, I'll probably get an Underwood as I've heard few of them now and they put out a nice tone (to my ear anyhow) Quote
ChrisF Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Cheers....when I get some cash I will look into an Underwood.....Im after a deep thudding bass sound (if that makes any sense to anyone but me ) Quote
