dlloyd
Or even the Fender Lead Bass... http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=4UYae_hOlHIC&pg=PA31
dave_bass5
I really like the look (and price) of the jazz. I love blocks and inlays but not on a maple fretboard so i like the clean look of these necks.
wateroftyne
Or the Stratoburst P: Boring old Fender. They never try anything different.

John Schoen
My Precision arrived from Thomann yesterday, I love the colour. Plays and sounds good too, it's a keeper. Got lots of people chasing after my Ovation bass, so hopefully will be ordering the jazz soon!
Clarky
Erm, I would check on that. The link to the Jazz is now defunct and I can't find mention of the bass on the Fender page listing the new FSR series

Billy Apple
Each to their own. I saw this finish on a Strat up in Denmark St today. Much avocado-ier in real life. Def not for me
Clarky
Hey Shockwave, the Bass Gallery has just posted up one of each model on its new rivals page
Stacker
They should reissue the Sienna Sunburst finish. Guess they may if they've resuurected this finish.
Shockwave
I just ordered my jazz from Thomann, first brand new bass in a long time! Sold my Ovation Magnum to fund it, sad day and probably fairly unbalanced valuewise. But I am a sucker for puke!
dave_bass5
Each time i come in to this thread im liking this finish more and more. Thats not a good thing for me to do.

dave_bass5
Looks fabulous.
Indeed it does. I think Fender made the right choice putting maple fretboard on these. The only thing i dont like is the bridge. I just prefer something a bit chunkier so i'd put a Gotoh 201 on it if i had one. alanbass1
I've always liked the finish. Almost bought an antigua P Bass in '79 but it was so heavy I decided to go for the Stingray they had in the store which, as I have since found out, is an unusually light Stingray..... Shockwave
Heres my jazz with my Warmoth P. Sorta wish the Jazz neck was tinted like my P, but a very lovely Jazz.
